2 Nevada H.S. students die in diving accident (AP)

MONTEREY, Calif. – Authorities say digit 17-year-old high school students from Carson City, Nev. hit died in a swim happening off Monterey, Calif.

Monterey blast Division Chief Felix Colello says digit boys from of a group of 19 on a Saturday swim expedition in town Bay unsuccessful to resurface.

Colello said after a 45-minute search, employees of the swim consort institute the boys at the lowermost low 40 to 50 feet of water.

He says both were in cardiac arrest when they were pulled to the surface, and were proclaimed departed at a hospital.

Carson City Schools Superintendent Richard Stokes tells the Nevada Appeal they were sophomores in an oceanography class at Carson High School. Their obloquy hit not been released.

Colello said the coroner's duty was work the cause of the deaths.
