Parents of 6-year-old outraged over airport patdown (Reuters)

NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) – The parents of a 6-year-old woman who got a pat-down at a New metropolis airfield section checkpoint earlier this period said on weekday that there should be assorted display procedures for children.

Dr. character and Selena Drexel of Bowling Green, Kentucky, said that girl Anna was potty by the section procedure, a recording of which has been widely viewed since the kinsfolk posted it on YouTube.

"Afterward, she broke downbound with crying, because she really didn't understand what she had done wrong," character Drexel said on Good Morning America. "We were struggling to vindicate it to her, because we had really heavy to her that it's not OK to be touched in destined places, and today she's been pat downbound in a open setting."

A spokesman for the Transportation Security Administration, which is responsible for display passengers and cargo at airports, said that the wager was in line with established procedures.

"TSA has reviewed the incident and observed that this tar followed proper current display procedures," authority spokesman Jim Fotenos said in a statement.

He said that bureau Administrator John Pistole had directed the authority to explore "additional structure to pore its resources and move beyond a one-size fits all grouping patch maintaining a broad level of security."

Fotenos said bureau has been reviewing its policies in an effort "to streamline and meliorate the display experience for low-risk populations, much as junior passengers."

The YouTube recording shows Anna and Selena Drexel at Louis jazzman New metropolis International Airport on Apr 5. A someone bureau screener asks Anna to stand near her care with her blazonry long and does a patdown wager kindred to those routinely performed on adult travelers.

Todd Drexel is an obstetrician-gynecologist in Bowling Green. A receptionist who answered the phone at his duty on weekday said he was sight patients and was not immediately acquirable for comment.
