Prosecutor: Blago 'sold out the trust' of people (AP)

CHICAGO – A functionary has told jurors during opening statements at Rod Blagojevich's immorality retrial that, as governor, Blagojevich "sold out the consortium of the grouping of Illinois" and proven to "shake grouping down."

Chris Niewoehner spoke to jurors after a jury was picked Monday. The defense is due to come jurors after in the day.

Niewoehner began by locution a selfish and progressively in-debt Blagojevich was desperate to make money in 2008.

The functionary told jurors Blagojevich definite "to ingest his noesis to solve his problem — to do what was best for him." He also highlighted allegations Blagojevich proven to sell or change an appointment to President Barack Obama's vacated senate seat.

Blagojevich has denied some wrongdoing.
