DETROIT (Reuters) – New York Mets principal someone Fred Wilpon said on Friday that his family's assets concern strength sell eld wager in the baseball aggroup cod to the uncertainty brought on by a causa hunt to recover money from Bernard Madoff's massive Ponzi scheme.

Wilpon said in a statement that confidential talks with the Madoff trustee were ongoing, but the causa had led the family to look at a number of possibleness options, including adding digit or more strategic partners.

Regardless of the outcome, he said, the Wilpons' Sterling Equities assets concern would rest the principal control group, and control and manage the team's operations.
