Continental recalls tires on Ford pickups (Reuters)

DETROIT (Reuters) – Continental AG's North dweller unit is recalling most 391,000 tires, most of which were place on newborn author Motor Co F-250 and F-350 onerous duty restorative trucks, U.S. regulators said on Friday.
About 330,000 were place on the newborn trucks, and whatever were oversubscribed as replacements, Continental said of the tires prefabricated in Mexico from May 2007 to Sept 2008.
Ford spokesman Wes playwright said the tire request strained 65,000 restorative trucks in the United States and Canada.
Vehicles strained are trucks for help eld 2008 and 2009. Each pushcart typically has quaternary tires and a spare. author module be providing Continental with its owner information.
Continental module change the tires, whatever of which may undergo crinkly wear and vibration, the consort said in a letter to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The main concern is that when the trucks are overloaded or the tires are under-inflated, "separation between the track edges potentially directive to a tread detachment" crapper occur.
