Northeastern Pa. bus crash kills 1, injures others (AP)

SCRANTON, Pa. – An emergency services official says a charabanc has crashed on an interstate highway in north Pennsylvania, ending one mortal and injuring an uncharted sort of another people.

Lackawanna County 911 Supervisor Michael Kelechowa (kehl-uh-CHOW'-ah) says the break occurred after 11 p.m. Sun along Interstate 380 in Clifton Township, near Scranton.

Kelechowa says the identity of the mortal who died hasn't been released. He also says there are multiple injuries, but the literal sort and severity isn't known.

Details on what caused the break aren't immediately available.
